Venetian Village Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA)

Venetian Village is a mixed-use development consisting of multi-family residential, clubhouse, commercial facilities and a luxury hotel located in the north-west region of New Providence, Bahamas.
CCG provided traffic engineering research and analysis collecting field data, which included speed data, vehicle classification data, annual daily traffic (ADT) collected over a 24-hour period for seven (7) days, intersection turning movement counts (TMC) (during the hours of an average day 6:00am – 9:00am, 11:00am – 1:00pm and 3:00pm – 6:00pm) and trip generated data generated from other similar resorts. CCG prepared the TIA, which included trip generation and transportation operations impact analysis utilizing the PTV Vistro and Vissim modelling software for the proposed commercial development. The traffic impacts were evaluated over a 20-year horizon to determine and compare the baseline and proposed measures of effectiveness (MOE’s) and recommendations provided to mitigate any potential impacts.
